Upon arrival
- If the unit has defects or damage, contact us via phone/email immediately.
- Is the unit poorly cleaned? Contact us as soon as possible, do not clean it yourself.
- Forgot to pre-order bed linen and towels, or firewood for the fireplace? Contact us, and it can be collected at the reception or delivered.
House rules
- Quiet hours are between 23:00 and 08:00. If you are disturbed by other guests, immediately inform our service phone at +47 451 64 000.
- Familiarize yourself with fire extinguishing equipment and escape routes.
- Smoking inside the unit is not allowed.
- Do not leave open flames/candles unattended, and switch off electrical appliances when leaving the unit.
- The use of bed linen is mandatory. If you do not have your own, you can rent it from the reception. Inspections to check the use of bed linen may occur during your stay. If not used, a fee of 1000 NOK per bed will be charged for cleaning mattresses and duvets.
- If something is damaged during your stay, report it immediately to our service phone or via email at booking@visitstranda.com. booking@visitstranda.com.

Upon departure
- Check-out is by 11:00 unless otherwise agreed.
- Late check-out will be charged 50% of the unit price.
- Leave the key where you found it upon arrival.
- Start the dishwasher with all used kitchen utensils; return the rest to their places.
- Empty the fridge.
- Do not leave empty bottles or deposit containers in the unit.
- Place indoor and outdoor furniture as upon arrival.
- If you rented bed linen, place it in a bag inside the main entrance.
- Make sure all lights are off, and all doors and windows are closed.
- Set heating to 8–10°C in winter; everything can be turned off in summer.
- Ensure nothing is left behind.
- Stranda Booking will inspect the cabin upon departure.
- Garbage must be removed from the unit. Disposal location depends on the unit type and location:
- Stranda Fjellgrend: Small black waste house in Resevgen, after unit 12A when driving out toward Riksvei 60. Marked “Renovasjon.”
- Detached cabins Strandafjellet/Roalden: Containers at the entrance from Riksvei 60 up toward Roalden.
- Detached cabins Fjellsætra: Containers by Nysætervegen before Sunnmørsalpane Ski Arena Fjellsætra on the right/downhill side toward Nysæter lake.
Oven / Induction Hob Troubleshooting
Problems with the induction hob or oven? Does it switch off after a short time?
Read more here:
- All units have a stove guard — required by Norwegian law.
- If the induction hob stops working, it is often due to the stove guard or user error; power must be reset.
- To reset:
- Locate the gray/white fuse box on the wall in the hallway by the entrance. Open and switch off all fuses.
- Keep fuses off for at least 3 minutes.
- Do not touch the stove guard above the hob on the wall.
- After 3 minutes, switch fuses back on.
- If this does not work, contact +47 451 64 000.
Water
Is the washing machine not starting? Does your unit have no water?
Read more here:
- All units have a water guard sensor for safety, usually located in the bathroom/laundry room. If water is spilled where it should be dry, the sensor shuts off the water supply.
- This sensor is located in the laundry room/bathroom.
- If triggered, locate the wet area (often under the sink) and dry it.Then choose one of two options:
- Turn off power for 3 minutes.
- Reset the water sensor located inside the bathroom/laundry cabinet — there is a switch inside to turn off and on.
