Visit Stranda was founded in 2004 by Helge Ibrahim with the purpose of renting out cabins located at Stranda Ski Resort. The summer of 2012, after several year operating in the accommodation industry, expansion was made due to the need for smaller units. Investments in Osen Camping was made, which has during the last years has been through a total renovation. The camping, Stranda Feriesenter, is now one of few 4-stars camping sites in Møre og Romsdal.
Today we are a team of ten with several years’ experience in the tourism industry in addition to be a company in continued growth. We have now created a safe and good environment and a platform which allows cooperation between several providers of products and services here in Sunnmøre. We offer approximately 850 beds in over 90 different units, all from simple to more luxurious standards; hotel rooms, camping cabins, camping suites, cabins and apartment cabins. We offer a range of different activities for all ages; RIB tours, hiking trips, snowshoe trips, climbing parks & rafting, to name a few. As one of the few businesses operating in the tourism industry in Sunnmøre, our collaborators and us have created a common platform which together proudly offer our guests a wide spectre of products and services – all in one shopping cart online.
Stranda is characterized by its unique location between deep fjords and majestic mountains. Known in Norway for being a ski touring Eldorado, it offers tourists year-round activities in breath-taking nature. Among others, you will find Norway`s powder paradise and Scandinavia's perhaps best ski area, Strandafjellet. During the run down, you enjoy the view of the fjord, a view you will remember for a long time! The ski area is, however, also a destination outside the winter season; the gondola takes you to the spectacular viewpoint at 1062m with view of the Storfjord, Stranda valley and the town of Stranda. In the restaurant at the top station, you can also enjoy national specialties. If you are eager to go on a hike, you can start right from the gondola. The most adventurous go even further and run down on mountain bikes or paraglide. If you are not too passionate about snow, you can choose from a wide range of other activities. You can go kayaking in the Storfjord, hike to famous peaks such as the Slogen, or take the ferry through the world-famous Geirangerfjord.
